Dreamy Rainy Wedding Portraits with Liz and Josh

Liz and Josh were so ecstatic on their wedding day that no hiccups, even forgetting the marriage license (whoops!) could bring them down! They happily ventured out in the soft drizzle with their bridesmaids and groomsmen for some of the dreamiest portraits we’ve had the privilege of shooting. Scroll down to see! Advertisements

Intimate First Look Atop the Hotel Metro in Milwaukee

Marisa and Jim shared an emotional First Look on the Hotel Metro rooftop in downtown Milwaukee. Despite the rain starting to sprinkle, the two stayed outside to share the moment with their family members, who seemed just as thrilled as they did for the upcoming ceremony. Although the rain was unplanned, with umbrellas in tow we managed to take some beautiful portraits in the soft, cool light. Nothing could dampen these two’s spirits on their wedding day, and we are so happy we got to share these moments with them!

Dreamy Outdoor Ceremony at the Wind Point Lighthouse

I first met Marisa and Jim in a small coffee shop on the East side of Austin. It was serendipitous that this beautiful couple, who was engaged in Texas, was moving up to Milwaukee in the summer and planned to marry there as well. I’m so happy our schedules aligned so I was able to photograph their engagement session in my second home city – Austin. In late August, Sarah and I photographed their wedding at the Wind Point Lighthouse in Racine, and despite the day’s unpredictable weather, it could not have been more perfect. Their ceremony was intimate and moving…full of a lot of happy tears, sunshine, and even a little light rain. The party finished their night off with dinner, drinks, and teeny tiny desserts at Braise in Milwaukee. Wishing these two the best of luck in their future together!

Maggie & Jason’s Beautiful Boho Wedding in Marathon, Texas

Sometimes the most amazing opportunities in life come along at the last minute. Maggie reached out to us only two months before her & Jason’s wedding date and fortunately, I was free and excited to make a trip out to Georgia’s old stomping ground – Marathon, Texas. After two flights and three hours of driving through barren desert (in the tiniest possible rental car) I arrived in Marathon – the strangest and coolest place I’ve ever been to. Maggie, Jason and their families were more hospitable than I could ever have expected. Maggie and the talented designers at Gage Hotel pulled off the most beautiful desert wedding imaginable – it was an honor and a joy to be a witness for Maggie & Jason and to capture their gorgeous day. At the end of the night as I sat on my motel porch under the stars, I looked through the images on the back of my camera and cried; I was moved to tears by the beauty of the day, the warmth and love that I felt from Maggie, Jason and their …

A Pabst Best Place Wedding with a Little Pancake

Not only have we worked with the most amazing couples this season, we’ve also gotten to hang out with their freakin’ adorable doggies! Becca and her girls prepped in the bridal suite at the Brewhouse Inn & Suites before heading over to Pabst Best Place where the groom awaited with little Pancake, their frenchie-terrier mix! Becca & John tied the knot with an intimate group of friends and family to witness their vows; in the Best Place courtyard beneath a gorgeous altar designed by Milwaukee Flower Company. Congratulations on your marriage, John & Becca, we wish you and Pancake the most amazing life together! XO

A Wedding Day Bike Parade & Backwoods Ceremony in Riverwest

Angela and Jason’s wedding was certainly one for the books. Being lovers of an active lifestyle and bike culture, these two came up with a super unique way to incorporate their personalities into their wedding day by leading a joyous bike parade around Milwaukee’s Riverwest neighborhood. Georgia and I had a BLAST shooting the bikers from the pedicab provided by Forward Pedicab, piloted by the amazing James! The parade ended at The Urban Ecology Center where Angela and Jason tied the knot in the woods amongst close friends and family. Congratulations Angie and Jason on your lovely life together, and thank you for the amazing experience! XO
