As the temperatures drop and colors start to change, Sarah and I are starting to feel wedding season winding down. For the past two months we’ve been busy bees, with shoot after shoot alongside launching a new magazine project in the Milwaukee area. Life has truly felt like a whirlwind, and it’s hard to believe it went by so fast. Last weekend we took a much needed day off. A leisurely day picking apples and hiking was just what Sarah and I needed to rejuvenate; the weather was perfect, the apples were crisp, the colors were bold. And the best part is, we finally had some free time to take photos just for fun, just for ourselves. Advertisements
Ellen and David are a sweet and driven couple; they spent part of their engagement across the country from one another to focus on school and their careers, but this past summer David was able to make the move down to Dallas to be with Ellen. Oh happy days! It was such a pleasure to walk around the Dallas Arboretum with them earlier this month. Summer definitely hasn’t let up, and we were met with Texas heat and a bright sun! Check out more images from our warm and bright adventure!
When Lucian contacted us about his planned proposal at one of our favorite wedding venues in the state – Villa Terrace Museum – we were thrilled and excited to be a part of such a special moment. When we met with Lucian for a walkthrough a few weeks before the big day, we left feeling truly enamored! Lucian is such a lovely person, as is his new fiancee Audrey who we had the pleasure of meeting a few weeks later. Lucian and Audrey’s mom (who was celebrating her birthday on the day of the proposal, making it extra special!) did a bangarang job planning this wonderful day, from the venue choice down to the coordinated clothing and gorgeous vintage ring box. HUGE congratulations to Lucian and Audrey, we look forward to seeing you again! XO
Marisa and Jim are a couple after our own hearts; though the two are getting married in Wisconsin, it turns out they share our love for Texas as well! It really doesn’t get much more “Austin” than having your shoot begin at Lou Neff Point, wandering down the trail by Barton Creek, and ending with a sunset finale in Zilker Park. We were so fortunate to photograph their engagement session in the heart of Austin right before their big move up to the Cream City. Can’t wait to see y’all (and your little dog Nugget!) in Milwaukee!
Aleisha may not be a Brewers fan, but she and John are true lovers of baseball and beer; a perfect match made in Milwaukee nonetheless! These two had a fun evening planned for me that mirrored their first date and showcased some iconic Milwaukee locations. First stop Miller Park Stadium, then Lakeshore Park where Aleisha and John first got to know each other, and wrapping up at Sail Loft for a round of IPA’s! Cheers to the happy couple – looking forward to seeing you both in September!
We love working in the great outdoors, but sometimes you need to take a break and mix it up a little! Check out this mini-engagement session at the Long Center – we love the geometric urban feel that the space provided, and of course how adorably in love the couple is.
Short and sweet little post today to share some adorable head shots we did for Miss Ruby’s Boutique! What a wonderful space (located in the Pritzlaff building in Milwaukee) where such lovely women (+ Jimmy!) spend their days helping brides-to-be find the dress!
