Vineyard Wedding Inspiration in the Texas Hill Country

The rolling hills of central Texas are near and dear to my heart, so you can imagine how thrilled I was when my friend Coley, from 3 of Cups Design + Florals, asked me to photograph a styled shoot at Spicewood Vineyards earlier this September. We had an amazing time, playing dress up, drinking wine, gallivanting around, and making beautiful photos. Check out the magic below! Maggie & Jason’s Beautiful Boho Wedding in Marathon, Texas

Sometimes the most amazing opportunities in life come along at the last minute. Maggie reached out to us only two months before her & Jason’s wedding date and fortunately, I was free and excited to make a trip out to Georgia’s old stomping ground – Marathon, Texas. After two flights and three hours of driving through barren desert (in the tiniest possible rental car) I arrived in Marathon – the strangest and coolest place I’ve ever been to. Maggie, Jason and their families were more hospitable than I could ever have expected. Maggie and the talented designers at Gage Hotel pulled off the most beautiful desert wedding imaginable – it was an honor and a joy to be a witness for Maggie & Jason and to capture their gorgeous day. At the end of the night as I sat on my motel porch under the stars, I looked through the images on the back of my camera and cried; I was moved to tears by the beauty of the day, the warmth and love that I felt from Maggie, Jason and their …

Eclectic, Jewel Tone Elopement Inspo

Being a wedding photographer is a wonderful job. We attend fabulous parties, eat delicious cake, and we dance the Cha Cha Slide more than everyone we know. Although we love our couples and their wonderful weddings, sometimes we take for granted how much work it takes to put one together; how much sweat and tears; how many sleepless nights. We tell people all the time – we don’t really believe in “Bridezillas”. We believe in women who know what they want, and do what it takes to make it happen – and we love those women. We are those women. This eclectic, jewel toned photo shoot was not easy to pull together, but the sun was shining and the team was determined. In the end, it was entirely worth it. HUGE thank you to the team that worked so hard to make these beautiful images, and a special thank you to About Face Salon in Mequon for joining the team last second! Bohemian Wedding Inspiration

Earlier this year we were able to participate in a fantastic bohemian styled shoot at Grassdale; with spacious nordic tentipi, open grasslands, and a dress so perfectly suited for a windy blustery day, this awesome group off vendors was able to pull of some real magic. Paula, planner from Beau Tied Events in Austin, Texas, says of the styling: “I plan a lot of weddings that are geared toward bohemian aesthetics and I really wanted to create a soft, romantic and whimsical shoot to show case this style fitted for a early spring wedding soiree in a teepee!” Sounds fun! We love the setups in the tent, how warm and intimate the space is, and being able to go play outside in the wind, then come back in when it gets too chilly. Mi Casa Su Casa: Wedding Inspo in Austin

Last month we got to attend a glorious open house, Mi Casa Su Casa, at The Sanctuary Event Space in Austin, Texas. Visiting The Sanctuary is like taking a breath of fresh air; it’s easy to forget you’re in the middle of the city when you step in and are surrounded by lush plants and towering oak branches. This venue doubles as a program space for the Amala Foundation, a non-profit focused on uniting “…youth from all walks of life and inspir[ing] them to grow as individuals and as leaders in service to humanity.” The Sanctuary also hosts amazing yoga classes throughout the week, and the best part is, venue rental and yoga class profits go directly toward funding Amala Foundation youth programs. Jessica and Coley, of 3 of Cups Events and 3 of Cups Design + Florals, put together some amazing setups as inspiration to the guests that evening. Take a look at the TexMex-inspired arrangements, full of bright and bold colors, a charming mix of vintage items, and citrus / flowers / cacti galore! …
